About the Artist
Smoky Mountain native artist Randall Ogle paints scenes from the Great Smoky Mountains and surrounding areas of East Tennessee. Randall started painting in April of 1969, the year of "Woodstock". He is a self taught artist and also a muscian. Randall enjoys painting with oils, acrylics, and drawing with pen and ink. He grew up in the Gnatty Branch Community between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and is a
great grandson of early mountain pioneers. His great grandfather's cabin, the Noah
"Bud" Ogle cabin, is in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Randall is a portrait artist but is best known for his landscapes and nature scenes. He does not have any favorites among his works...each one is like a child to him with its own uniqueness to it. His mother's name is in each painting he has done since she passed away...so neatly hidden it's a challenge to find it. Randall Ogle's work is always found among serious art collectors. By working with Art of Place, Randall can expand his
artistic talents throughout the United States and the world on many different products for all to enjoy.
